FAT CAT WEDDING: Maisie and Jacob

I’m sure many of you know by now, your first job is often not your dream job. Believe it or not, one of the first jobs I had when I moved to New Orleans was as an accountant. Although my accounting career came to an end, my friendship with Kathleen, the mother of the groom-Jacob, and her family blossomed into something beautiful.

Kathleen was ahead of me in the kid department. When I was expecting my son, Christpher, she would tell me tales of the wild adventures of being a boy mom. Years later when I started Fat Cat Flowers, she worked with me as my bookkeeper. Our boys ended up in school together at Jesuit.

I was so excited when Kathleen told me Jacob and Maisie were getting married. From the initial consultation, I knew this was going to be a special wedding. Spoiler: it did not disappoint.  I loved working with them, their venue, and especially their flower selection. My favorite thing about this wedding? The couple.

When you look through their wedding photos, you can truly see Jacob and Maisie’s personalities. Light, playful, and oh so in love. Their smiles are so infectious you can’t help but feel as if you were there celebrating with them. Love is Rad captured everything and more from this special day in the most beautiful way.

The Marigny Opera House was the perfect venue for this beautiful couple. The creamy neutral colors and wooden details emphasized their romance.

Special thanks to Vicki Evans for helping plan this stunning day. She even sent me a video of Maisie seeing the reception the night of the wedding that made my heart sing. Honestly an unexpected treasure that I will cherish for quite some time.

From the bottom of my heart, I wish all the love and happiness to this special couple - and many thanks for letting me be a part of something truly magical.
