Here’s what you can expect with your wedding flower planning experience with us:

1- Date + Location Check

From the first day you reach out to us, we try to get back to you quickly. We want to check your date first, because we limit the number of weddings that we do each weekend based on the size and set up of each event.

We also want to verify that you’re in our service area – while we do love a road trip, we travel only for a weekend buyout, so we want to make sure you are in the New Orleans Metro Area.

2- Your Style

Our next step is to get a little info about who you are and what you want.

Is my style your style?

Do I have everything you need?

Can I wow you?

I want every client to feel like she’s getting exactly what she wants. So we like visit before the initial consultation to make sure we are a good fit.

The Initial Fat Cat Consultation typically takes 45 minutes – one hour.

Lots of information changes hands. I have lots of question. I love a bride that brings photos and swatches, and if you have a Pinterest board, be sure to send it my way. (You can check out our Pinterest here!)

If you have nothing – don’t feel like you need to pull it together for me, I have my ways of totally figuring out what you like.

After your consultation you can expect a quote back with in 24 hours – usually the same day! I know it sounds crazy, but I like to put a proposal together while you are fresh in my mind.

3- Continue Planning Your Big Day

Then we wait. You get other proposals, you get a floorplan, you work on your budget, you may even have some questions!

Our proposal is a jumping off point, so if we need to make changes – I am happy to help. I’ll hold your date for two weeks while you do your thing – I am patient like that!

4- Book Us + Deposit

When you’re ready to book, a contract and deposit will put you on my calendar. I do a deposit of one third of our current proposal.

The proposal is a living document, and we can make changes as we go along, you may need more or less tables, you may add a bridesmaid or a flower girl, or you may change your colors! That is totally expected.

There are two things we can’t do – change the date or add a candle/linen vendor (if we are already scheduled to provide candles/linens).

We understand that wedding planning is a process, and there will be changes!

5- Follow-Up, Follow-Up, Follow-Up!

I will reach out to you again 60 days before the wedding to schedule another meeting and to bill you for another payment of one third. This is a great time for us to catch up and get organized.

At 30 days out, we like to have everything settled, all changes made, and start working on our delivery schedule. We are an organized group – finding that balance between creative and organized is the secret to our success! And we try to do it with grace and kindness – because you deserve it!

Wedding planning is fun! We love what we do, and I want to make it as easy and stress free as possible!

Diane is AMAZING, WONDERFUL and FANTASTIC!!! I truly can’t say enough great things about Diane and her team. Diane was extremely organized and very easy to communicate with throughout the entire process which was especially important since my wedding was a destination wedding. One important item for me was staying on budget and Diane was extremely respectful of the budget while making the most of it! Diane was great about hearing my thoughts and ideas on wanting “edgy” and unique flowers with lots of greenery and textures and she brought all my ideas to life! In addition to flowers, I wanted to do lots of candles and Diane has a beautiful warehouse full of every type of candle you can imagine that you get to pick from. On the actual wedding day Diane was on time for the flower delivery and even came at the end of the night to pick up the items that were rented so we didn’t have to worry about getting the rentals back to her. As to the flowers themselves they were BEAUTIFUL, perfect for the venue spaces and stayed healthy for days – I was even able to use them the next day as table decor for our going away brunch!
