Connie and Andrew's Capulet Wedding
/I have always been a bit of a curmudgeon when it comes to the First Look, but Connie and Andrew have me changing my ways. Their First Look with New Orleans photographer Tasha Rae was darling - you can see that they had a great time, and they are so so happy!
I’m always going to be a little bit biased and say how I LOVE a New Orleans wedding! It is such a romantic place, making it perfect for celebrating love— especially the love of these two!
Her rooftop ceremony at Capulet included eclectic mixed lanterns for the aisle and our gold Moon Gate, which provided the perfect bit of bling for that industrial look.
How I love a wedding at Capulet in the Bywater! Connie had a great vision for the space. She wasn’t concerned about having flowers everywhere. She was looking for a WOW.
Her style was modern and artistic — perfect for this chic space. There is nothing I love more than being able to take a room and transform it into someone’s dream!
The moment I first stepped into Capulet, I knew I was in my happy place - high ceilings with exposed beams that beg you to hang something from them, a fabulous rooftop and a loft that is made for a lounge space.
We designed her wedding around a dramatic ceiling installation - the wow she was looking for - and long simple kings tables.
I love the mauve, burgundy, and peach palette of her wedding flowers. They were gorgeous against the grey bridesmaids dresses - and I do love a big bouquet… especially for this girl!
Lastly, one of my favorite parts of this wedding- the cake! This simple cake from Gambinos smelled divine and the dramatic cascade was perfect.
Any wedding with Spanish Oak Events is going to be smooth sailing. Thank you Becky for making us look good! And thank you to Connie and Andrew for letting me be a part of your special day!
