Wedding Planning with Fat Cat Flowers

Welcome to Fat Cat Flowers, I hope to make your special day beautiful and stress free. 

I do that with a simple clear process. My goal is to respond to every inquiry quickly. If I am available for your date and if I service your location (the New Orleans Metro area only, unless you take us on a road trip) I want to schedule a quick phone visit so I can get a little info about who you are and what your vision is. Is my style your style? Can I wow you? I want your wedding to be glorious.

The Initial Fat Cat Consultation usually takes 30 minutes. Lots of information changes hands, I have lots of questions. You can share photos or our Pinterest board. If you have neither – I can help! Don’t feel like you need to pull it together for me. 

If we are a good fit, you can expect a quote back within 24 hours – usually the same day! I like to put a proposal together while you are fresh in my mind and my creative juices are flowing. 

Then I wait. I’ll hold your date for two weeks while you do your thing – I am patient like that! But most of my bride’s book within a few days.

When you are ready to book, a signed contract and deposit of one third will secure you on my calendar. The proposal is a living document, and we can make changes as we go along, you may need more or less tables, you may add a bridesmaid or a flower girl, you may change your colors!  That is totally to be expected. 

After you book, I will invite you to the studio look in the warehouse and further discuss the design details. Everyone loves my warehouse! I have candles, lanterns, all the vases, chinoiserie, arches, and chuppahs. This is a great way to hone our vision for your look. If you are from out of town, this is a great time for you to see my studio and get a feel for how we work.  We love a destination bride!

I will reach out to you again 60 days before the wedding to schedule another meeting, and to bill you for your second payment of one third. This is a great time for us to revisit and make any changes before the wedding.

At 30 days out, we like to have everything settled, all changes made, and start working on our delivery schedule. I am organized – finding that balance between creative and organized is the secret to my success! And I do it with grace and kindness – because you deserve it!

On wedding day, I deliver your personal flowers to the hotel (or wherever you are getting dressed) I will set up the ceremony and reception, and
