FAT CAT WEDDING: Cate & Rick
/It’s no secret that trying to plan a wedding is difficult. Trying to plan a wedding from another country? Almost impossible. That is, unless you have someone who lives in your destination and is willing to help you plan your wedding.
This love story starts with a local New Orleans’ mother and her daughter who lives in another french-influenced city…Paris, France.
When her daughter wanted a destination wedding in New Orleans, mother of the bride, Laura, selflessly handled all the planning for her daughter and future son-in-law, Cate and Rick. Laura thought through every small detail to ensure that everything would be just what the bride would want. As if Cate were choosing the details herself.
My personal favorite details that Laura chose were of course, the flowers! The stems she chose were a bit organic and wild, with a touch of color, and lots of texture. They were truly perfect for the Audubon Park setting. The stunning arch formed from the large, overgrown oak trees added in such a lovely natural detail behind the couple.
Another perfect (and delicious) detail was the cake. Bittersweet Confections truly outdid themselves (as always)! I need to talk with Cheryl about a cupcake tax. Extra chocolate please!
At the end of the night the happy couple could hardly part from their guests. In addition to being a beautiful wedding, it was a lovely gathering of love and a brilliant start to a happy marriage.
